Hi there,

On the top front edges of my 2009 15" Macbook Pro I feel a slight uncomfortable electric zap. I'm using a generic power adaptor but was also experiencing this problem before I got the new power adaptor. Any thoughts?

It's a well known problem, even with the official power adaptors. As long as you don't get outright shocked, don't worry.

Noticed in your signature that you have a Retina, how do they go in terms of this problem? Looking at getting one sooner or later.

It depends on which plugs you have your MBP plugged. I say this because I feel that weird buzz when I'm using the MBP at the kitchen but don't feel it when I use it in my room, basement, college etc.
