I have a USB Hard Drive (80 GB SimpleTech portable, the Ferari one), hooked up to my MBP. When moving large amounts of data on it, it frequently stops, causing any program accessing it to beachball until the drive is unplugged. This is usually when multiple things are being accessed at the same time. It also only will mount on the right hand side port. Anyone else had similar problems on their MBPs? The only mounting on one port seems to point towards the mac being the problem, which is why I haven't called India yet.

In Disk Utility, select the disk and verify it to make sure it's okay. Does it behave this way with other machines? :)
Yeah, verification is the first thing I did, says it is okay. I'll try it on the macs at work when i go back after the holiday.
