MacBook Pro external speakers

Hi. I'm looking to buy some speakers for my MacBook Pro so I could listen to music and watch movies. Would anybody recommend any external speakers? Probably under $200 if possible. Thanks.

Those are just a few powered desktop speaker systems. It really depends on if you want a 2.0 setup, or a 2.1 setup. If 2.0, I'd go with A2, they're small, but they aren't bad and look aesthetically nice. They have decent bass (if that matters) that should satiate any bass needs (if any).

If you are planning on a 2.1 setup, I'd recommend going bookshelf speakers with an amp and sub. Much better sounding for the money.
