Hello

The CD Drive on my macbook pro mid 2009 has just started to fail. It tries to spin the disk but then slows down and tries again. Once I put a disk in the drive the only way to get it out is to switch off the laptop as it just keeps trying to spin up

My extended warranty with apple ran out about 2 weeks ago

Does anyone know how much Apple charge to replace the drive?

Thanks in advance

Andrew

Call and ask? It shouldn't be more than a couple hundred dollars. You can probably order the part and replace it yourself.
