Hello all!

Yesterday I was trying to burn a DVD in toast 8 and the whole system froze. I did a hard shut off in hopes to restart the system. When I powered it back on, the DVD would spin up and the screen would remain black. I googled some solutions and eventually got the DVD out with this method: http://www.silvermac.com/2006/dvd-stuck-in-macbook-pro/.
Alas, the macbook pro will still not boot. When I start it up, I hear the disc drive do the normal fast zip sound and the screen remains black. Any Ideas?

Thanks
- Jason

You may as well. If the computer's not working then does it really matter if the disc gets stuck?... Anyway, if you have another Mac handy then you could try Target Disk Mode via a Firewire cable instead. 🙂
