My late 08 MBP all of a sudden wanted to start hanging on start up. I've tried the usual's like reset PRAM and ran fsck -fy and it came back ok. I tried booting into safe mode and the bar loads, then it hangs after that. When I insert my Snow Leopard dvd it reads it for a minute or so and spits it back out. Weird thing is that I'm on the same laptop using Windows XP under bootcamp. It boots into bootcamp flawlessly. I tested the superdrive under windows using an audio cd and iTunes plays it with no problems. So just in case I backed up what little data I had on it(everything else is on externals). Can anybody help me out?
