My 15 inch Retina MacBook Pro that I opened yesterday has a dented corner. I am bringing it to the Apple Store today. I heard I could exchange it for my same model but brand new with no issues. Will Apple let me exchange my computer?

Yes, if you're unhappy with it, and especially if you just received it, they should take it back with no questions.

There is a chance they may not believe you, but if you're polite and firm you shouldn't have a problem.

I'd say regardless of what we may or may not say here in the forum, you'll find out when you attempt to return it. That is what we say is immaterial to what you experience first hand

It's actually pretty common to received the unibody Macs with some form of damage...I've had it a number of times. Take it back and get it swapped for another brand new one within the return period. If it happens a few times in a row though then they may suggest a refund.

Do you have any photos of this dent? I'd be interested in seeing what might pass through Apple quality control. Certainly if it's brand new it can be exchanged for a non-defective MBP.

Here is a pic of the dent.

Update: apple store exchanged it with no questions asked! Very happy! My computer was made in April, seems a bit odd that it was made that long ago but anyways, I am very happy!!

well ive as well had two dents on the bottom case, spotted it when the store opened the box and handed it to me, a bit of telling them to give me a new one and then getting approvals 20 mins later Im handed one free from dents. That was further replaced due to hardware issue. The first replacement box had a dent and the second box opened was fine.

Throw that thing in the trash, that's totally unacceptable!

Nevermind the hard work blood sweat and tears that went into building it lol, no one cares about that.

As long as you got a tip-top shape computer buddy, I'm glad they replaced it! I wouldn't have left till they did if they gave me any hassle. This is 2013, we shouldn't have to put up with such things in the #1 BEST COUNTRY ON THE PLANET YEAAAHH!
