Hello alltogether,
I have kind of a simple question but I couldn‘t find any threads related to this topic. So I have a 16 inch MacBook Pro and I play a lot of games on it. Of course while gaming the fans get really loud and the MacBook is under full load. My question is whether the machine suffers under these conditions over a longer period of time or if it is fine running the laptop like this. Because it is an expensive machine but nevertheless it isn‘t really meant for gaming and maybe video editors don‘t push it to its limits for several hours straight! Thank you very much for your answers in advance!

it's fine. If it gets too hot, it will shut down. There is no problem pushing your machine like this. In fact, you are getting great value as you are actually using the full capabilities of the machine.
That said, I would not run it in clamshell mode for that.

I‘m sorry but what is a clamshell mode? I am not from an english speaking country sorry!

Apologies, this means running the MBP while the lid is closed (with an external monitor).
the keyboard is used to radiate some of the heat so you really don’t want to run the machine hard when the lid is closed.

Aaahhh! Okay thank you very much for your fast and really helpful replay because that was what I was doing the whole time! You are a beast! Thank you very much! I‘m going to try it with the lid not closes then! Thanks again!

Ok so i run macbook pro 2014 and i play Romę total war games on this mac. And i had also the same worries about it. And so I went to apple store they said that’s normal and i don’t have to worry about it. But every machine has own life like buttery and cpu etc... so i gues it can burn with time. But it should work fine minimum 5 years. Nothing last forever. But it should work fine for about 5 years and than check diagnostics in apple store with technician just in case to make sure everything is fine with macbook. Because it’s free! why not to do it right?! Good luck.

Thank you Gino Sun Angelo for your response! If Apple says it, it should really be fine.
