Macbook Pro i5 vs i7 - Gaming

this might not be the place to ask but.... well can you turn your mbp display into a screen andplug a ps3? as far as gaming goes it would be awsome and about the same price...

The i5 sucks for gaming, sorry. I have a 17 inch, brand spanking new, i5 and the only game I can really play well is UT3/ any unreal 3 engine game.

the i7 is pretty decent through windows ive ran a few games and theyve all ran smooth and it hasnt been a poor experience yet

actually i have been doing some research and you can... with the eye_toy hybrid, but its still not fully tested and its to expensive to be wirth it ($400)... im better off saving some money and getting the ps3 and a monitor.

i decided on the i7 for the long run....that way about 4-5 years down the road when i still have my laptop i still have a decent i7 processor in my system
