Both sites load fine on my rMBP.

Either the OP is trolling, or has a serious fault with their computer.

He is not trolling . I had the same issues on rMBP 13 mid 2014 model . Try this website : http://www.bet365.com . In play section is awful . Also tumblr scrolls like **** : https://www.tumblr.com/search/macbook .

Again, absolutely fine.

I watched your video, which is not evidence at all as you are recording it in QT which will slow things down. To prove it use a camera and record the screen doing stuff natively.

Too bad I've already sold the mac . It was not worthed the money . I had more problems with this mac than with all other windows computers and software , including vista .

There is definitly a problem with all retina models in scrolling , animations and overall gpu perfromance .

I call BS on that.

You were recording in QT. Do you have any idea how much resources are being consumed from recording in QT alone? 2560x1600 isn't a small amount of pixels.

Record it with a camera, not from QT, and only post back when you have definitive results. Otherwise, you have no evidence.

2010 Macbook Pro with Yosemite here and the webpage loaded smoothly like any other webpage. What's the problem here?

Could you try this one? This page is even worse on my MacBook 'Pro'.

Edit: In fact, I'd say this web page is unusable in both Chrome and Safari. Scrolling is near impossible.
Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.8) + Chrome v39.0.2171.95 (64-bit). No problems via a 3G network. I disabled all plugins (preferences -> click to Play) and switched off all non necessary settings in the Chrome preferences.

QT recording of a screen is hardware accelerated via Quick Sync (Sandy Bridge or newer).
