Hi everyone.

I bought a new MacBook Pro on june 10th.
everything went fine for a week or so, but then sometimes my whole mac would "lag" or "freeze"... i could still move the windows, but the loading mouse comes when you try to change anything.

then i opened up Activity Monitor to check disk activity... and everytime the mac would freeze up there was no disk activity.

i tried everything from removing software to switching memory temporarily, benchmark programs(live cd's). nothing worked... so i decided to reinstall, and everything was fine.

until yesterday.
i upgraded to Snow Leopard. and today i got those weird freeze-ups back!

could this be a problem with my harddrive?

a week ago i saw some news about the new macbook pro's with a 500gb harddrive getting the same thing as i am experiencing now... but i've got a 320gb/2,66ghz 15inch model... and the firmware upgrade that they are releasing, isn't for my machine.

i hope someone can help me with this.

regards,
Mike

now i'm having the problem at least every 30 minutes.

maybe i'll just go to the iCentre then tomorrow.

This is a stupid issue with the new Macs. I have a 15" Macbook Pro that I purchased on the tenth also and it has the same random lag issues. All I can say is file a bug report with Apple and wait for a fix.
