What could go wrong now? Driver drops package, driver forgets package, driver loses package, driver sits on package, driver is in Dec 29th - Jan 7th delivery window, driver works for Microsoft, driver hates you,.....

Yep most of the time 1000s of km are fine and then driver ruins it on the last mile.
Since yours is also going to Ulm (right?), our delivery will probably ruined by the same driver as mine

I'm quite optimistic, up till now DHL Express was a way better experience compared to regular DHL/Post. Not sure which hub they deliver from, UPS would be from Nersingen and only arrive some time in the evening. TNT here again and apparently my prognosis was wrong, my macbook cleared swiss customs at 2.30 in zurich last night, so I am really interested whether they will deliver it early (today) or whether they are going to keep to the schedule and deliver it tomorrow. I'd be so excited if it arrived today!

It all depends on where the hubs are, etc.
Sometimes it doesn't make sense, they drive further, but that's logistics for you, they have to follow routes or else it would be unmanageable...
I am at 3 as well. But without an ETA you will not get a delivery. It could be they will drive it around until 25th, because that is your delivery window.
