I'm just hoping the machine will be faultless. No graphic issues, no scratches. Then I can pretend this nightmare of waiting for announcement and release never happened and actually get on with some work again. This latest delay has really left a sour taste in the mouth.

I feel you. Mine hasn't been delay yet.. but I'm worried that it may be eventually. Seeing others have theirs in P4S and even shipped, even though ordering after us has me a bit irked. I'd like to see this before Christmas. Not sure if us being in England has anything to do with it.

Just had a rather fruitless web chat regarding my delay. It turns out web chat operatives can do nothing regarding Expedited Shipping. I complained quite a lot and didn't get any more information. Way to go apple, the wait for release and the order has been a nightmare and the machine hasn't even arrived.

You are a very lucky customer. It looks like you'll receive your machine before me, in spite of ordering two weeks later. I'm very jealous.
I don't understand the origin of your problem, is it with Apple or the delivery company?

Nothing to do with you, as it's not your fault, but he ordered November 7th and his is still processing, while you ordered November 26th and are in P4S. It's just a bit frustrating for him having waited almost 3 weeks longer and no movement. I ordered November 20th. I'm still waiting and I'm frustrated as well; I can't imagine how he's really feeling. I don't get what's happening.

It's Apple. I'm still in 'Processing'. And for the record, I'm not angry with any users who get their machines earlier. It's Apple's poor customer service that has annoyed me.

This is an example of a time when Apple should really be providing customers with more information. If they said 'We have problems with the 460s and are trying to fix it' or 'the 2TB drives are taking longer to obtain', I'd be fine. It's just silence until my delivery window starts then a delay. They should have been able to tell me there was a problem earlier.

Then you should give a call to Apple, cause that's really strange, has your CC seen any reservation from Apple? I can't see the logic behind this...

I completely agree with you, give them a call. If you have the same I problem I did when it came to calling the order support staff, that was were a machine would say that you should try and call later, if this happens, call another department and see if they can redirect you directly to an apple specialist instead of the machine on the Order and Delivery department.

Yes, reservation on Saturday.
Maybe you'll see movements this week, the fact that you are in the UK may kind of affect you, but I'm not so sure about that. I think it's what a user said earlier, that they are trying to solve some problems with the hardware and that's why some deliveries are being holder back, however if this is the reason behind the delay, I'm scared mine will come with flaws and errors.

If they do, get it replaced, but do not give your machine over until you have the replacement. You should not have the inconvenience of not having a machine. I think you'll be fine though, I purposely avoided ordering for a week so they could work out any issues in early production.

I know that feeling, I've got the same fear.

While DHL ist STILL stuck at "Shipment information received", Apples status just went to "Preparing handover to final carrier". So probs on a plane tonight to Leipzig.
Any news from you?

Mine landed in Cologne tonight and later arrived at my local delivery facillity.
But it doesn't look like it's going to be delivered today.

Pfff, the delivery of my replacement has just been delayed
It had a window of 16-20th and now has been pushed to 22-27th

Common Apple?! You promised me you would be delivering a replacement macbook without delay....

I had to start a replacement procedure for mine because of a defect. The courier will pick up my defective MBP tomorrow. In the meantime, I see a replacement order in my account, with an estimated delivery date of Jan 4 - Jan 11.

This is taking forever! Aren't replacement units prioritized somehow?

On what date did you initiate the replacement procedure?

The good thing is that once you eventually get your machine it will be probably free of at least couple of early version issues. I ordered mine 15-inch 2.7 GHz with Radeon Pro 455 and 512 GB SSD on November 7th and had to wait a little less than a month before it's been delivered. But I didn't have to replace the System with the factory restore as it was already at the latest version, I didn't have to enable SIP -- it was already enabled -- and my battery life is very good, allowing me to keep the laptop unplugged for entire working day.

By the way, I ordered mine on Nov 7 via Apple Store for B2B with the "on allocation" estimated shipping date; initial "processing" order status didn't change for more than 3 weeks, then I suddenly got a note that laptop has been dispatched from Eindhoven by TNT and it took 2 days to deliver it to my location in Europe.
