I guess with all those estimations hitting the end of the delivery window, I should expect mine on the 1st December... hopefully. I'm leaving on the 3rd...

For the last time, DHL do not have possession of the MacBooks yet! :p

I have a parcel tracking app that has a nice feature of translating courier speak into plain English. Here's its interpretation of the current DHL status.

"Not picked up"

I am trying to trace the air freight pallet back to China. I managed it for the iPhones last month. I will post if I find anything. :)

Please do. We're counting on you! :)

Alright, mine finally sent out too, via DHL Express. Apparently it will get here on the 24th - one day after my delivery window! I am guessing there is no way of an earlier delivery, is there? Considering its a pretty expensive machine, I am inclined to ask for compensation, even though its just a day..

Finally, shipped to Germany, courier still unknown... #joy

Shipment information received
Origin Service Area:EINDHOVEN - WAALWIJK - NETHERLANDS, THE
Destination Service Area:BRUSSELS - Mechelen - BELGIUM

Just called DHL. Shipment information received means they indeed don't have the package yet. BUT... Origin Service Area means that the package will be sent from there. Hence, the DHL-macbooks are in Eindhoven!

They could, or could not be there. Because we have no information of the shipping that took place before, both things are entirely possible imo. Just because it says it is shipping from there doesn't mean it is there already, but also doesn't exclude it.

Dont know how many times we have to say this but that is not true! They will be sent from there at some point, but they are unlikely to already be there. They will be on their way from China TO Eindhoven, and then shipped out from there. But they won't be there yet!

It may be sent from Eindhoven, but it doesn't mean the Macbooks are there *right now*.

Another user posted a tracking from another device that had the same "Shipment information received" and only 2 days later it got out of the Netherlands, which means they waited for it to arrive from China and just didn't show you that part of the tracking.

No, they aren't. DHL are waiting for them to arrive from China to their hub in the Netherlands. Then the packages will be sent from there.
