Then there is all that stress going Win to Mac- no backspace... screwed up Control vs. command buttons, etc. I knew about that going in because of the iMacs we have.
In all fairness, though, it was Microsoft who screwed up by making the Ctrl key the primary modifier. Apple invented (for lack of a better word) the cut/copy/paste keyboard shortcuts (Command + X, C, V) and MS joined in later but used Ctrl instead. The real screwup on Apple's part was to put a damn Function key to the LEFT of Ctrl, when at least a billion people have their muscle memory hardwired to look for the Ctrl key in the bottom left corner. Also, the arrow keys are so small you need a Q-tip to operate them. Otherwise the keyboard is great, IMO.

And the screen is a real disappointment. The 5 year old HP has a much cleaner- and larger! display.
Well... sadly, Apple has always been extremely stubborn about screen resolution. They've lightened up on the fascism somewhat, but a few years ago they were adamant that the size of pixels should be uniform across all screens, without taking into account that you sit much closer to a laptop screen than you do a monitor on your desk. So rather than utilize the nice 15.2" screen on the PowerBook G4 Titanium to the fullest, they fit it with a puny 1152 x 768 resolution with pixels so big you'd think they were Lego pieces. Adding insult to injury, a lot of screen elements in OSX are much larger in scale than on Windows. Dock icons are huge (customizable, but still), menu and dialog fonts are way too big... first time I tried a Mac I wondered if it was in some sort of accessibility mode for the legally blind.

1440x900 is certainly an improvement, but still a bit on the wimpy side when you consider the fact that Dell has been offering a 1920x1200 option on their 15" laptops for 5-6 years. I find 1680x1050 to be the optimal resolution for a 15" screen, you get a decent workspace and you don't have to squint like you would with 1920x1200.

I find the MBP cramped. The keyboard sometimes doesn't work, or has some latency. You press a button and there is a noticeable lag until it prints to screen.
Your Mac is like, broken, sir.
