Macbook Pro - LG C1 Tv

Anyone know whats up

Trying to use my new C1 TV as an external monitor using a USBC - HDMI Cable the tv detects the device but just shows a black screen

Drving me round the bend anyone got any ideas ?

which adapter do you have, i had the same issue until i switched out with a belkin
