Has anyone used the M1 13 inch Macbook Pro in a film or video production scenario?

I would love to hear you thoughts specifically about battery life. How does the battery hold up over a 8, 10, or 12
hour production day without being plugged into an AC outlet?

I'm not talking about the web browsing or watching youtube videos, I'm talking about offloading media from RED or Alexa cameras,
working in Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere, how long can the battery last under those tasks?

Thank you

8-12 hours of heavy usage?
You're probably going to need either a charger, OR... an external battery that offers USB-PD compatibility. You can then use the external battery to power/recharge the internal battery.

Understood but I'm purposely trying to figure out how long the internal battery can last under these scenarios
WITHOUT either AC or portable power bank. I realize it will eventually die and that is the point, how many hours can it last without any external power in such a scenario?

This test claims 10 hours while editing what looks like DSLR files in Final Cut X with some breaks

So just a guess maybe 5 hours if one was working in Premiere or Resolve with bigger media files
but I would love to hear from someone with real world experience.

Hello guys, just bought and M1 MacBook Pro 2 days ago. I don't it's indexing anymore but the battery is not impressive at all. It's even terrible.
Today during a team call, battery is draining too fast, and battery health is showing only 2 hours remaining.
What do you think ? Could be a problem ?

Do you think there’s some software that’s causing issues? It seems like people are having the opposite experience from what you’re describing.

Have a look in Activity Monitor under CPU and Energy for a start to see if anything is being a resource hog.

Why does your screenshot say your battery is 10 years old?
