Macbook Pro M3 Pro 14” Sleep bug

I have a Macbook Pro M3 Pro using with an Apple External Screen - Sometimes when I put the MBP To sleep it won’t wake up the External Monitor - the MBP is fine - I just raise the lid - aside from unglugging the cable and then plugging in again - or rebooting - I can’t wake up the screen. What is this? I searched for an answer and all I get are crappy work arounds like unplugging - Apple won’t/can’t address the problem - or they haven’t posted a real answer.

Any ideas or help?

I don’t why it matters - it’s a 2012 - not waking up isn’t a function of the display is it?

2012 is 27” using mini-DisplayPort. How are you connecting mDP to your M3 MPB. Details matter.
