I recently got a MacBook Pro, specifically the new M5 model, but, my OCD has recalled an issue that needs reassurance.

Whenever I open the lid to a 110° degree angle, then close it or I guess "scrub the area" or just by moving the screen with a finger at that specific spot, it makes this faint "tk" sound. Its quiet but can get kinda audible. It doesn't affect its functionality either, the hinge feels super smooth, no wobbling or grinding, no issues on the display itself, just that one sound and thats it.

I'm not sure if its the hinge or rather the clutch cover because sometimes it sounds like it comes from the middle.

Really I just wanna know if this is normal for a 2 grand laptop which in my perspective its not. I also would like to know if other users have this same "issue"

Also, I cannot return it sooo that's out the window.

This has been making my OCD nuts, I really just wanna enjoy my new Mac.

If possible, make an appointment at the Apple Store and have the Genius take a look. I seriously doubt asking here is going to allay your ongoing fret that your MBP is defective because you hear a sound coming from the hinge area.
