I recently bought a 14-inch MacBook Pro M5 Pro with the nano-texture display and I’m looking for feedback from people using the RadTech ScreenSavrz microfiber keyboard protector long-term.

Specifically:

  • Does it work well to prevent keyboard grease/oil transfer onto the screen?
  • Any issues with pressure marks or screen contact over time?
  • Safe for travel use inside backpacks/carry-ons?
  • Any concerns specifically with the nano-texture display?
I’m NOT looking for a keyboard cover — only the ultra-thin microfiber separator cloth that sits between the keyboard and display when closed.

Since RadTech doesn’t list the newer M5 models yet, I assume the “14-inch MacBook Pro (2023/2021)” version is still the correct fit due to the chassis dimensions remaining the same.

Would also appreciate comparisons versus:

  • UPPERCASE GhostBlanket
  • Apple polishing cloth
  • other microfiber separators
Thanks — trying to protect the nano-texture display as much as possible while traveling frequently.

I don't have the nano-texture but I've been using a thin microfiber cloth between the keyboard and screen on my M3 Max 16" for about a year of regular travel — backpacks, overhead bins, the works. Zero pressure marks, no issues at all.
The one thing I'd be careful about: make sure it lies completely flat before closing. Any fold or bunching will leave a temporary impression on the screen coating, even on standard glossy glass. For nano-texture specifically I'd be extra vigilant about that since the coating is more delicate and more visible when disturbed. A flat, properly-sized cloth that doesn't overhang the edges should be totally fine though.

Where did you purchase the microfiber protector? I had thought RadTech had gone out of business... several threads on the topic

I don't see any changes to their website. Their ScreenSavrz can still be purchased (although the most recent date for a MacBook Pro is 2023) at https://www.radtech.com/products/screensavrz-macbook-pro-keyboard-cover
yes that's why I wanted to have opinions from you guys!

I’m glad I found this post as I’m obessed with keeping my MacBooks screens mint. It’s always their weak points and one reason why I like the iPad form over the Mac because the screens are harder wearing and you dont need to baby them.

Back to your question.. I’m not on nano display but I always carry a Kirkland yellow microfibres cloth with me to wipe screen and keyboard everyday.

I still get some transfer every now and then if I forget so for the past week I’ve been using a thin microfibres eye glass cloth that they give you when you get new glasses and that’s been working great so far… so maybe worth a try for you ?
