Macbook pro-macbook chargers

Hi all
my previous macbook was riddled with battery problems, sometimes the battery was not read by the machine, other times battery life would last 20 mins or so. Previous to these problems I lost the standard macbook charger and replaced it with a friends slightly bigger macbook pro charger (previous generation macbook pro). Looking back I was wondering if these problems could be attributed to using the pro charger (maybe it has a higher voltage? 😕 )
Any ideas?

My girlfriend has a 2.16ghzmacbook from q2 2007, I have a unibody15". We use each others chargers all the time and notice no effect or diffence. The only thing is if I let my machine completely die, it refuses to boot if the MacBook charged is plugged in. This makes sense of course but just the only thing ive noticed.

I doubt that was the cause of your battery troubles. MB Adapters output 16.5 V/ 3.65 A while MBP Adapters output 18.5 V/ 4.6A and 16.5 V/ 3.65 A. The increased power output just means it charges faster.
