My macbook pro makes a clicking noise when I move it up or down. But that is the only time it makes a clicking noise.

Mine does the same. For me, it seems as though it is coming from the front right, just infront of the SuperDrive. It might be something in the SuperDrive moving around. I've noticed this on many MBPs. Shouldn't be an issue..

It's the sudden motion sensor locking up the head on the hard drive. It's supposed to do that. It thinks it is falling basically.
Yep it is kind of metallic... Havent my 15'' has been in storage for a while know but I kind of rember it making that noise...
