Anyone having MacBook Pro Memory issues? I had mine taken in for 288.00 bill from apple to just find out why the computer does not start and have it services. computer is 1 year 3 months old. when something from the system goes wrong.... and apple knows about it, they charge for it.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking?

RAM does sometime go bad, it doesn't happen often, but it does happen. Is that what you wanted to know?
 
Who was the person on the other thread that said that soldered RAM is a good idea?
I don't remember who but I do remember reading this yes.

From a pure engineering standpoint, you're removing one point of failure by removing the ram slot. So from a purely technical point of view, you should be increasing overall reliability, at the expense of repairability (maybe). RAM modules are easy to replace, a bad RAM slot isn't something most would undertake changing out.
