MacBook Pro name missing from Retina MBP?

    I just realized the new Retina MBP doesn't say "MacBook Pro" at the bottom of the screen anymore. I wonder why they decided to remove it? I kinda like it. :confused:

    The bezel is too thin to display the name at their desired font size. The name is on the underside.

    Yeah, I noticed the name on the bottom from the Keynote video. Ok, makes sense.

    Looks just as thin as the pre-unibody MacBook Pros though.

    Looks about the same size. But for whatever reason, Apple didn't want it there.

    Do you see iPhone / iPhone / iMac in front of their screens? It's just unifying the design philosophy

    Nope. I think you're right. They are unifying all of the products with the name on the rear/back now.
