I think Binomio got mixed up with an issue that affected the mid 2010 unibodies. I believe there is some replacement scheme running for those still.

Correct, there is. That problem seems far less widespread, fortunately.
 
Yes I know - that's what I said in my post.

And that case was the one I stated above. It wasn't under the SOGA in the UK though. The only case they lost was in the US, in their 4 year period, and the claim was that they were repairing with a faulty component.

I can read thanks. I also know what I saw. It was a UK case filed in the small claims court citing SOGA.

Got a link to that? Cause I've had a look and I can find no cases where people have won in the UK for the 8600m issue.

I can find loads (even on MacRumors) where people have lost though ;).
