Hmm, well I'll see what my new one is like...

Are you saying that you only ever hear any noise from the fan etc. when it gets above 2000rpm and it's actually doing anything? So just browsing the web etc. with the fans on minimum, your old MBP was much quieter?

Never heard it on the old one, and yes much quieter, you never ever heard it the wife use to say is that on ? Oh and its at 2000 RPM now and the left is audible and the right is silent

Ya my right fan is making like an audible "buzzing" noise, my left fan you can only hear making its "whurring" noise when you put you head right up to it.
