MacBook Pro on battery or plugged in with FCP X?

Hello,

I'm new on Mac and on editing videos. I bought FCP X and Motion 5. I'd like to know if you always plug your MacBook Pro when using those programs.

If you work on battery, how long does your battery last ?

Either - if I'm in the field and want to start editing - on battery. Keep in mind that programs like FCPX, Photoshop, etc will be more processor intensive than email or surfing the web.
