Hi
Just bought a used Macbook Pro and when I entered the serial number on the Apple website I received the message: "Please validate your product's purchase date". So apparently the original owner never registered it.
This is a second hand purchase so any ideas about what I should do?
Thanks in advance,

Ask the seller to give you the purchase date. If they bought it from Apple I'm betting they have an email receipt buried in their email. That said, AppleCare follows the device so if you ever need service you just need the serial number for them to verify that it's covered.

If they had bought it from Apple, then the device would've had its purchase date verified automatically.
