Macbook Pro + Kitchen table. No desk.
For the win!
JK.. I need a freaking desk. Saw a decent one at my local thrift store
for 12 bucks! Gonna snag it this week hopefully! I do get way jealous when
I see everyone's bomb desks on here. =( Been putting upgrades on priority
over desk though, got the monitor and laptop stand. This week getting
memory and the desk and possibly a 500gb hard drive for the MBP.

One thing though, it is dank to be able to just grab the MBP and leave the
house with it. Desk+MBP. Do both man. You don't have to buy a new desk
even! Check around. Thrift stores have good ones, AND you can even sand
down an old one and restain it dark dark cherry woodish and put some top
coat on it. New desk.

I currently own a Mac Mini. I use a small 15' tv screen to run it . During use im not in the most comfortable position ( sitting on the floor) so if I get a desk not more sitting on the floor and if I get a MacBook pro I can sit anywhere. What do you reckon MacBook Pro or a desk?

I wish I had a small fifteen foot tv.. jeebus

Keep in mind that, if you're like myself, you'll find yourself using your MBP at your desk more often than you think

Ordered midrange 15" MBP 4GB,320GB blah blah + 1TB external hard drive (just in case !) and have just acquired a desk from a local school

i was thinking about getting the imac when I upgrade, but when I thought about it, I realized that I was rarely using my computer at my desk. The iMac really looks amazing and beautiful, but I guess the mobility of the macbook pro is really important, as you point out in your post.
