MacBook pro has pad lock screen. what is this and how do I bypass.
Depends on how old the Macbook Pro is.

The padlock window means that your MBPro has a firmware password set.
If yours is older than about 2011 (depending on model), then there's a reset that you can do after temporarily changing the memory configuration.

If newer than that, and you forget the password, (or you don't know what it is), then you can't clear the password on your own.
Only Apple can unlock those newer computers protected by a firmware password. You will need proof of purchase before they will help you.

You'll need to contact the customer to have him remove the password or provide you with the password. There's no way to bypass it.
