MacBook Pro power consumption

How many amperes does a MacBook Pro draw? I need this info so I can buy the right portable power supply. The one I am looking at says 5 amperes tolerance. Is that enough? My MBP is the model that was right before the new ones, bought it last August.

All the MBPs use the same power supply, so I don't think you should have an issue.

FYI, Power Info for Mac's are under :  Menu --> About This Mac --> More Info --> Power . Or : System Profiler --> Power . Same Thing. I have no idea which is the Amperes Count.
