Hi all,

So, I'm gonna send off the MBP for a battery replacement... 2016 MBP, battery deforming the case... doesn't close... OSX says replace the battery.

They are saying, just back it up and it will be done in a secure environment, they don't need the password.

The drive is encrypted with FileVault...

Anything else I need to know?

BACK IT UP before you send it off.
I would not trust time machine.
Create a cloned backup using either CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper.
That way you still have a good copy of the internal drive...
