Hey guys,

you should buy your Macbook Pro from Hengedocks.com :D

https://hengedocks.com/pages/macbook-config

They have a mistake on the site.

Pick up the 15 inch 2,6Ghz , Radeon 460 & 2TB SSD then you will see the total ammount of 2399 USD instead of 3799 USD :D

Not sure if its working, but IF, maybe someone can buy one for me too, since i am from germany & they not deliever to germany :p

Basically you're getting a fully spec'd out MBP for the entry level price. I'm tempted myself and I wasn't going to be buying a MBP but its hard for me to drop 2k on a laptop

It's too good to pass up surely?

Why can't this happen in the U.K.?

Wow that actually works and I have a couple days left on my return period lol. Amazon did something similar and honored it, would be interesting to see what happens. If I was in the market I'd try it for sure, worst case you just have them send you the entry level or pay regular price and probably get something for them screwing up. Best case you get an amazing deal on a pretty much fully specced out machine. I'm kind of tempted honestly but I already have everything set up and like how everything is working so I'll just stick with what I have. Great catch though!

Placed an order for one, we'll see how it goes. I have until 1/14 to initiate a return on the laptop I got from Apple. My guess is that they cancel the order, but if it ships I will be doubling my storage and upgrading my graphics card while saving almost $800.

From the Henge Docks website:

"All purchase orders for product placed by you through this web site are subject to Henge Docks’ acceptance and the availability of product or as otherwise provided by law. Henge Docks reserves the right to refuse to accept or cancel any purchase order without reason and without liability to you or anyone else. All purchase orders for products are subject to Henge Docks’ terms of sale and these terms of use will not supersede any terms of sale. If Henge Docks refuses to accept or cancels your purchase order after your payment method has be charged or otherwise received by Henge Docks, Henge Docks will, at its option and sole discretion, reverse the payment method or issue you a refund."

Legally, I think they could just cancel the order, but it would be interesting to try... :)

That's the thing, will they honor the price. When BestBuy had a price error, they cancelled the orders and did not honor the purchases.

There is clearly an error on the pricing page that takes $200 off the price if you select the 2TB SSD

I can't see them honouring orders for such a glaring error (nor should they, IMO)

To my mind, Trying to get away with ordering this is the same as a store giving you change for $50 when you give them $5 and then just walking out with the cash you know you're not entitled to

Hasn't set well with me since I clicked submit on the order and for that very reason. Trying to cancel the order now, but, for anyone contemplating an order, it isn't the easiest process.

Honouring pricing errors (even big ones) wasn't a big deal back in the days before widespread internet usage. One person would see something mis-priced on the shelf, and they'd take it to the checkout. Often as not, the company would honour the price for that one person, and adjust the price afterwards.

These days, if a website significantly mis-prices something, they get hundreds if not thousands of orders within minutes or hours. Some companies would bankrupt themselves if they tried to honour the orders.

hope it worked out for someone (maybe for you maflynn:p) ! :D

i couldnt try it, since they are not shipping it to europe!
even with the tax/shipping fee it is good price!

Bottom line is I cannot justify spending over 2k on a laptop. Especially right after holidays. I still have it in my cart on the site but I can't bring myself to hit buy (never mind if it will work or not).

I tried it with another shipping company - but after an hour i received the annulation :(

its not working :( damn!

The level of restraint, conscience, and ethics is impressive in this thread. A little unexpected here on MR :). Nice call out on how internet changes things. If they didn't catch this, this literally could have bankrupted a company the size of hengedocks.
