I am using a 15" 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo MBP with 2GB of RAM. Is it pre-installed with two 1GB or one 2GB sticks of RAM? I'd like to know so that I can upgrade it to 3GB. Thanks in advance! :)

    /Applications/System Profiler

Then look under Memory to see which slots are populated. You could always just open it up too.

You could check by going to about this mac>more info>memory and it will tell you how much RAM is in each slot. I'm guessing it will be 2x1GB though.

    Couple more questions...
Is it okay to mix two different brands of RAM? Or do they need to be the same?
