Macbook pro ram question

Hey everybody.

I am going to be buying the 13 inch macbook pro tomorrow as well as some ram, but not from apple.

The ram I am going to be buying has these specs.
PC2-5300 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-667 200 Pin


I am kinda braindead when it comes to ram so could someone please shed some light on whether or not this will work?

If you're buying the current model 13" MBP, then that's not the correct RAM. It needs to be DDR3.

PC3-8500 DDR3 SO-DIMM 1066 MHz Type RAM

Enjoy your new MBP. I have a 17" UB (early 2009) and it's their best design yet, IMO.

I would suggest if you don't even know what RAM to buy, you just buy it installed from Apple. Seriously, it requires some knowledge and ability to follow instructions... if you don't know what kind of RAM to buy given the information is available all over, you probably are the type of person who is better off just having an "expert" do it.

The RAM you want to buy won't work on the current MacBook, it need DDR3
