MacBook Pro Ram to MacBook

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro that I purchased with 4gb of ram. My friend has a 2008 black MacBook (5th gen) and he has 1gb of ram. Is it possible to give him my 4gb of ram since I just upgraded to 8gb? Basically will my ram work in his machine.

Nope - won't work and will not even fit......

He needs DDR2 and you have DDR3
