Looking to buy a MacBook Pro off ebay. Seller claims no issues and he is original owner. I want to know if it's possible to look up the history of the machine as it pertains to AppleCare. Kind of a CarFax for this machine.
Thanks

Does this machine currently have Applecare? If the seller will give you the serial number, you can look up the device's serial number at https://checkcoverage.apple.com/ to see if it's eligible. But as the owner, the seller would have to log into his Apple My Support account to be able to give you its repair history. What are the chances the seller is willing to do that?

I passed on the purchase. Seller stated he was original owner but couldn't answer a few basic questions.
