Just took my MacBook Pro Retina 2012 in to have the screen replaced for the anti reflecting coating issue. I asked about having the battery replaced too but I had to pay for it as I'm out of warranty. It's at 70% for its health. Found out its $500 CDN as its the battery and upper case. Ouch! I'm gonna ride this old battery out for another year and order a new MacBook Pro next year I think. Can't justify that for a battery.

What is "CDN"? In US Dollars, the battery replacement is $199, which is a fairly reasonable price given that the battery easily lasts 3-4 years with heavy use.

That's pretty hefty, the only concern I'd have is swelling. Be careful, as there is a risk of the battery swelling as it gets beyond its useful life.
