I'm not sure if this is an OS X issue or rMBP issue... so please forgive me for posting in the wrong forum. Anyways, I have the newest model rMBP, and when connecting to an HDMI port on an external monitor via the Thunderbolt port (using a cable I had with my previous MBP, a mini-DisplayPort to HDMI), my rMBP freezes on me. The screen is black but I can see the light is still on (the apple glows)... and I have to force a shut down in order to regain control of the machine. Is there some setting I should change somewhere or something, or is this is a known problem, or well, what do you recommend? Thanks 🙂
