I use istat pro and it tells me my right fan isn't running, and my left fan runs unusually faster than it usually does. Does this definitely mean that my right fan is broken or is it just the app or..? I have a mbp I've had since June which is why I'm just a bit skeptical.

[Edit] Sorry, should have specified from before. I have a 15" MBP, and here's the full thing (now the fan is running at normal speeds, mind you, but there still isn't a reading for the second fan and the machine heats up quicker than usual).

What exact MBP do you have, as the 13" MBP only has one fan for example. And what are the temps reported, as they are kind of cut off in your screenshot?

Btw, what does Activity Monitor say (Show All Processes)?

Do you have any software currently installed which allows you to 'control' the fans?

If it's the 2.53GHz model, that's probably right, as it only has the 9400m graphics, rather than the 9400 and 9600, if not, then it should have two fans.

Yeah, mine definitely has 2 fans, iStat used to show 2 readings for 2 separate fans, and I have the 2.66GHz model.

Anyways, thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll try that and then call AppleCare if problems persist.
