MacBook Pro Sandy Bridge i7 2.3 Boots in 64bit kernel mode by default

Hello Guys.

I have a new MacBook Pro 17'' with the new Sandy Bridge i7 2.3GHz Quad Core and looks like it boots the 64bit kernel by default.

Here the output:

cosimo$ uname -a
Darwin Cosimo-Concilios-MacBook-Pro.local 10.7.1 Darwin Kernel Version 10.7.1: Mon Jan 31 14:55:53 PST 2011; root:xnu-1504.10.48~4/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64

So, this can mean that from now on all new macs will boot in 64bit kernel by default...

Yes, it started with the 2010 Mac Pro.
