Hi guys!

So I was cleaning the screen of a MacBook Pro retina and I saw there was a line of what I thought was some sort of stain or something similar. When I started cleaning it with a cloth and "Whoosh!" I said "Whoops!" looks like its getting bigger with me trying to clean it and I don't know if this is something I can fix or the screen is permanently damaged?

Thank you!

Anti-reflective coating peeled off. Congratulations! If this is still under AppleCare, you're eligible for a free display replacement. If not, it's $600.

Sorry, I was half joking. Within 4 years of purchase date, you still get free replacement:

I'm not sure what'll happen if you're outside of that window, but honestly, I'd think they'll probably do it for free anyways.

I will give it ago but the laptop is early 2015! (heartbroken)

There is a known issue out on the 2015MBP. I had a few small marks on my 2015 MBP 13 screen and they replaced it free of charge when they did my battery replacement. Make a genius appointment as you may get a new screen. what have you got to lose?

That's right. I will give them a call on Monday!

With our mail in repairs, the system is able to confirm if the issue is eligible under the program we have specific for this issue we are seeing. However, it does seem that the device is no longer eligible under the program, therefore, we would see an out of warranty fee. This fee is ~$503
