MacBook pro screen blank ...

Hi I have a MacBook Pro15 ( model A1226 ) , So I put my laptop in sleep mode and while on my way home computer bag fell on the floor . Now that I am home , the computer comes on but the screen is black . I also attached a external monitor and nothing happens . Any suggestions .

FYI : My apple care is void , because about a year ago my son broke the screen and I purchased and replace this myself .Has been working fine since.
