JoeSafe macrumors newbie Original poster Apr 10, 2011 #1 Hey, I've just purchased a Macbook Pro 17" (2011 version) and noticed when I tilt it forward the screen lid closes... Is this normal or is there something wrong with my hinges and I should report this to apple? Thanks in advance,

They might be able to tighten the hinges or failing that replace the unit for you.

Yeah I've seen somewhere that it only happens on a certain few and if you take it into a Apple Store they can tighten the hinge... Might have to phone up and see.
