MacBook Pro speaker quality?

I like my MBP speaker quality much better since I installed Boom.

Does Boom actually work? I've just had a quick look/Google and thinking of buying it

I kinda thought my 15" MBP might have a bit more bass and louder volume, compared to the wife's HP6735s it's just not as good

Obviously it's great when connected to external speakers/headphones

Will Boom help add a bit of oomph or just increase the volume?

It works quite well, primarily with the internal speakers. It's not needed as much with external speakers. It has an equalizer function, so you can adjust sound to your liking.

i got the 2011mbp 15 and they are great, best laptop speakers ive heard...
