MacBook Pro SR back vents

I just got my new MBP SR and noticed that the back vents are huge.

Instead of a grill there are 6 huge vents, about 2 inches each. I can see the board inside. Is this normal or they missed to install a part?

it's normal. they changed with the core 2 duo models last october.
