My MacBook Pro was in my backpack and multiple kids stepped on it. How do I know what was damaged? Could the screen be damaged and the colors look different?

Simply, attempt to boot your MBPro and provide the result. Successful or not? Provide more info for additional feedback.

Good question. Any obvious damage can be detected by a physical inspection. But there is nothing to some components have no been hammered and will fail over time. Another reason to be careful with these things. Lots of glass and flexible metals surrounding inflexible circuit boards.
