Check in console - do you have anything regarding a "Channel Exception" in there?

It might not be going to sleep, it might be the graphics cutting out: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4088

    Hi,

Try using this app - 'Insomnia' to keep your computer on for longer. You can close your computer lid and it will keep it on if the app is open. I often use it when i'm in school and traveling from classroom to classroom and downloading apps or loading videos.

    Cheers
