logana macrumors 65816 Apr 5, 2008 #2 Yes should not be a problem - as long as the MacBook Pro is the 15.4" model - the drives are the same. 17" MacBook Pro optical drive a different thickness (12.5mm instead of 9.5mm from memory) Check about my mac on the MBP - most are Matshita 857's
