Now that Apple has finally updated the entry level MacBook Pro, and the Touch Bar is now $500 less than before, I think it is the perfect time to sell my 2017 13 inch non-touch bar MacBook Pro. It is in good condition, no big scratches or issues. Works great, battery has 141 charge cycles on it, but the AppleCare is expired. It has a 128GB SSD.

The Apple trade in website offers me $550. Is that a good price for it? And how long does it take for you to get your gift card when you send your MacBook to be traded in to Apple?

I used Apple trade in on a MacBook a year ago and it took about ten days for my gift card to arrive.

You might compare the offer to what Gazelle offers you.

Recently did this with my 2016 15" MBP. Got $960 for it. Process was easy and they send you the package to ship it back. Their tracking system updates a little slow though. It's not actually Apple who runs it, it's a partner company.

You can get more on Craigslist or OfferUp but there are risks and headaches that come with that
